Westlake Music Academy offers music lessons that serve all levels of experience.
Our in-home lessons are available in Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Simi Valley, Calabasas, Camarillo, Santa Rosa Valley, Woodland Hills, and Malibu.
We also offer online lessons.

“I am so grateful to have found Marcus and his talented group of teachers at Westlake Music Academy. My shy, withdrawn child was struggling to find joy in her life and I really did not expect her to stick with singing, but Marcus, Christy and the rest of the team has helped her find confidence and direction.
The program is structured to give opportunities for individual and group performances, and offers instruction in many different instruments and vocal styles. The instructors all come from impressive music backgrounds, and they bring in experienced, working professionals for events and Master's Classes. As a vocal student at Westlake Music Academy my daughter is learning correct vocal techniques and skills, and her self-confidence and personal presentation has improved dramatically.
The Academy's performances (optional) are well produced and they create opportunities for all performers to participate and shine regardless of skill level. They help the newer and younger students choose music that challenges them but also showcases their strengths and gives them the opportunity to succeed. The more advanced students (older teens and adults) are truly impressive and an inspiration to the younger kids.
The musical chops of these teachers is superior and the Academy is a well-organized operation, but I am most happy with the encouraging, nurturing environment that they give to my nervous, anxious child. Within a few weeks of her first lesson she participated in a concert. She fretted and struggled for days beforehand and was a mess the day of the event. When I delivered her to the dress rehearsal she was a nervous wreck. When I returned two hours later for the concert she was happy and eager to perform. Amazing!

Marcus has been an amazing mentor and vocal instructor. From the very first day I started my vocal lessons with him, I could tell there was something different in his approach and his emphasis on certain exercises, especially the use of breath. His background in opera makes him very well rounded as a vocal artist and instructor.
